HYPERION MOTORSPORT
.

Established in 1989, Hyperion soon became established as a centre of excellence for the preparation & support of Caterham race & road cars.

Based in Halstead, North Essex, the Team now occupies an important position in European Motorsport - working with drivers from not only the UK but also France, Germany, Holland, Sweden & Switzerland. Moreover, Hyperion are one of the few teams capable of taking drivers right through the sports & touring car formulae - from novice (even junior novice) through to British GT / FIA GT and Touring Cars.

In 1999, Hyperion's status was further enhanced when the BRSCC asked former MD, Magnus Laird, to project-manage the foundation of a new initiative to encourage junior drivers into mainstream motorsport. The result was T-Cars and despite subsequent attempts by others to replicate it, T-Cars remains the only serious championship exclusively for young racers.

Today, Hyperion still lead the way in Caterham support, having won the inaugural, pan-European Cosworth Caterham Masters, together with the domestic R400 Team Championship. In 2006, we'll be aiming to repeat these successes and are also looking forward to working with drivers from the newly re-named "Roadsports" Championship. We're also looking forward to developing young talent in T-Cars whilst also planning a serious entry into the British GT Championship.
